Social and Behavioral Science (CMPH-0118)

This course explores the interconnections between society, behavior, and health. Students learn to conceptualize a health problem from a population perspective that emphasizes the social determinants of health. Through case studies, students examine different determinants of health, strategies for improving the health of communities and individuals in those communities, and strategies to affect individual and group behavioral change.
