Corporate Management Of Environmental Issues (CEE-0265)
Spring 2024 · CEE 0265 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Students in this course will explore the ways corporations interact with the environment, with the goal of understanding the processes, pitfalls, and tools for preventing/addressing environmental issues or disasters. Using case studies, students will critique the ways corporations have managed real environmental challenges, and discuss the alternatives that may have been available. Students will also be introduced to approaches used by companies to envision and prepare for environmental problems. They will also focus on the perspectives of various stakeholders who have an interest in corporate environmental management, including shareholders, boards, corporate leaders, community members, governments, and activists/NGOs, and unravel the tensions that often exist among these groups.
