Analysis of competitive labor markets. Examination of firm's choice of workers and workers' choice of amount and quality of labor to provide. Implications for policy areas such as social security and retirement, welfare reform, labor supply and taxes, job training and wage subsidies, labor force participation rates, unemployment, and investment in schooling. Prerequisite: Economics 11, or consent.
