Engineering, physics, and applications of nanophotonic structures. Wave propagation through optical waveguides, waveguide systems, and nanostructures. Optical mode theory and numerical modeling. Coupled mode theory. Design and analysis of optical modulators, resonators, interferometers, switching networks, and phased arrays. Research paper discussions about state-of-the-art nanophotonic devices and applications in telecommunications, biomedical devices, modern computing, and quantum information systems.
