Numerical Methods (ES-0101)

Spring 2024 · ES 0101 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate

Numerical methods are studied and applied to the solution of problems in applied science and engineering. Interpolation, approximation, numerical linear algebra, including system solution and eigenvalue problems, solution of nonlinear equations, numerical differentiation and integration, ordinary differential equation algorithms, and finite-difference solution of partial differential equations. Applications using calculative software. Recommendations: MATH 51 (formerly MATH 38) and the ability to implement computer solutions.
