Examination of 20th and 21st-century writers’ and filmmakers’ response to the major political and social upheavals of their times. Study of changing views of national identity through the lens of Spanish history, gender and immigration. Authors may include Unamuno, Machado, Chacón, Ortiz, Almodóvar, and Bollaín. Conducted in Spanish. Recommended: Two 30-level courses or consent.
