Basic concepts of cellular organization, function, and regulation. Emphasis on molecular/biochemical research methods used in the study of protein structure and function, gene expression and regulation, signal transduction, intracellular transport, and cell communication. Credit cannot be received for both BIO 46 and BME 33. Prerequisites: BIO 0013 or permission of instructor. Recommendations: Completion or co-enrollment in BIO 0041.
