Stellar Structure & Evolution (AST-0031)

Interaction of light and matter, telescopes, stellar structure, stellar evolution, inter-stellar medium, exoplanets, and formation of planetary systems. Some assignments involve the use of computers. Intended for students with a background in physics and/or astronomy and mathematics and a strong interest in astronomy. May be used to satisfy the concentration requirements for major and minors in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Prerequisites: Physics 11 and 12, or by instructor consent.
