The Invisible Universe (AST-0041)
Fall 2024 · AST 0041 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
For students majoring in astrophysics, physics, or related fields. The instruments and observation techniques that allow us to study the Universe outside of the visible part of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum, including observations in the radio, infrared and high energy parts of the EM spectrum, neutrino and cosmic ray detectors, and gravitational wave observations. Covers the astrophysical phenomena that we study through such observations. These phenomena may include galaxies, supernovae, pulsars, and black holes.
