Cyberlaw and Cyberpolicy (CS-0184)

The complex legal issues of cyberspace, including the effect of the Digital Revolution on existing laws concerning wiretapping, copyright, and espionage; influence of the Digital Revolution on First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendment law; failure and solutions of copyright in the Digital Age; failures and limitations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and function of the Law of Armed Conflict. Focus is placed on U.S. law and jurisprudence, with some consideration of international perspectives. Recommendations: familiarity with Internet systems and/or law and policy
