Musculoskeletal Practice Management: Upper Quarter (DPT-0734)

This course initiates examination, evaluation, and intervention sequence of the neuro-musculoskeletal system. This course provides the fundamentals of examination and intervention that will be utilized across the two-course series. This course emphasizes the clinical application of biomechanics, functional movement, and examination principles for neuromusculoskeletal disorders specific to the upper quarter of the body. The course concentrates on the application of critical thinking and psychomotor skills related to examination and evidence-based interventions which emphasize patient education, therapeutic exercise, and manual physical therapy in a patient-centered approach across the lifespan. This course initiates the development of critical thinking and reasoning strategies through clinical presentations and management.
