This intermediate course focuses on representation and is designed for students with some experience in life drawing or drawing from observation, who want to further develop their drawing skills. Through class presentations, exercises and assignments, readings, discussions, and critiques, students will gain a broad understanding of how to improve their representational drawing skills. In addition students will also understand how artists have used representational drawing to express their ideas. Students will be required to purchase materials. Non-SMFA students and MAT Art Education students will receive a letter grade.
