Advanced seminar on human and primate development from an evolutionary perspective. Life history theory, conception, pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, developmental programming, growth, the role of parents and others, the acquisition of social and language skills, and adolescence. Comparison of humans and non-human primates to understand the evolution of uniquely human patterns of development. Assignments through the semester focus on developing presentation skills. Prerequisites: ANTH 0040 or ANTH/BIO 0044 or consent.
