Spring semester listing for students who participate in research in laboratory, computational, or ecological biology. Students may seek research opportunities within or outside of Tufts and should speak with potential faculty supervisors far in advance of the course registration period; see department website for information on finding research opportunities. At least ten hours per week of guided research involvement, including primary literature reading, data collection and analysis, and research group meetings, culminating in a research paper. Counts towards degree progress but does not satisfy laboratory or course requirement for the Biology major. Consent of supervising research mentor required. Pass/fail grading. Recommendations: Permission of research mentor and subsequently course coordinator.
