Examination of the relationship between transportation policy, transportation infrastructure, and environmental and human health impacts, with special emphasis on air quality. The role of transportation in generating greenhouse gas emissions and approaches to reduce those emissions. Transportation modeling, transportation demand management, infrastructure planning, pollution burden, sustainable fuels, and sustainable transportation. Practical tools for obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting transportation data as well as evaluating environmental and social impacts of transportation systems.
