Bioethics for the Budding Clinician (MBS-0226)

This course will cover the following topics: foundations of bioethics including the Nuremburg and Helsinki Codes; conflicts of interest; patient rights; apologies in medicine; religion and medicine; death and dying; conception and birth; assisted reproductive technologies; new technologies, including telemedicine and robotic surgery; organ transplantation; and the ethics of clinical trials and genetic testing.
