Fundamentals of vibration theory with applications important in structural engineering. Free, forced, and transient vibration analysis. Time and frequency domain analysis of single and multi-degree of freedom systems. Natural frequencies and normal modes of vibration. Vibration mitigation and base isolation. Understanding behavior of structures subjected to various dynamic loads such as wind, earthquake, machine vibration, and ambient vibration. Hands-on experience with industry-standard software and practical applications in structural engineering.
