Queer Pop (MUS-0028)

A sociocultural exploration of the popular music that is by, about, or important to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgendered and other queer people in the United States. In tandem with important moments in queer history, including early sexology, the Stonewall Riots and the AIDS Crisis, the course looks at a broad range of musicans and genres from Cole Porter to the Indigo Girls.
