Intermediate Biostatistics (PH-0206)

Spring 2025 · PH 0206 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate

This applied course builds on foundational biostatistics by introducing a range of regression methods commonly used in public health research, including multivariable linear, logistic, Poisson, and survival models. Through hands-on assignments, collaborative workshops, and an independent capstone project, students will develop practical skills in data management, model diagnostics, and clear interpretation of results. With an eye toward training the quantitative public health workforce, the course emphasizes reproducible analytic workflows, effective scientific communication, and real-world data analysis using statistical software and publicly available datasets.
