Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention (PH-0226)
Spring 2025 · PH 0226 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Cancer epidemiology is the study of causes of cancer in human populations; understanding what causes cancer is critical to reducing the burden of cancer through prevention. Cancer is a disease that develops over many years and risk factors can impact initiation and/or progression of cancer. Challenges to understanding which risk factors are causally related to cancer include understanding the biological pathways and relevant time periods of exposure.
