Intermediate Photography (PHT-0118)

Intermediate Photography furthers photographic skills and ideas. Expanded use of DSLR cameras and introduction to medium format film cameras, including the hybrid process of producing a digital print. Lighting, image scale, negative scanning, f file management and workflow. Exploration of contemporary photography practices, and the conceptual and practical implications of images. Open-ended assignments with critique and discussion of concept and technique. Prerequisite: PHT 111 or instructor permission. Non-SMFA students and MAT Art Education students will receive a letter grade.
