The role of information in the political process. Information technologies both as inputs that affect political decisions and as outputs that result from political decisions. Covers the decision-making process of elite political actors and ordinary citizens. Topics may include unsanctioned oversight and leaks; cyber warfare; sanctioned oversight and FOIA; accessibility bias; free speech and privacy; surveillance; collective action; hobbyism; inefficiency’ anti-trust; political targeting; and autonomous vehicles.
