DNA From Structure To Function (BIO-0190)
Fall 2025 · BIO 0190 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Molecular genetics and genomics through the study of the fundamentals of DNA structure and function. Topics include DNA secondary and tertiary structures, DNA topology and topoisomerases, mechanisms of protein-DNA recognition and the structure of the chromatin; how the principles of DNA organization are employed in key genetic transactions, including DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. Seminar course combining lecture and discussion of scholarly literature. Prerequisite: BIO 105 or graduate standing.
