Advanced Seminar in Resilience: Children, Youth and Trauma (CSHD-0181)

Seminar focuses on resilience in development; the potential for children, families, and communities to do well in the context of trauma and the responsibility of communities to provide resources that foster resilient functioning in meaningful ways. Topics include neurological basis of adaptation in the context of adverse and protective experiences; and individual, family, school, neighborhood, community assets that foster resilience. Will include discussion of prevention and intervention programs and policies. PREREQUISITE: Graduate Students and junior and seniors.
