Intro to Drawing for Space (DRW-0016)

Examines basic elements that make up our three-dimensional world. Investigates space through drawing using simple and found materials. Expands awareness and observation of three-dimensional space with relationship to the page. Traditional ideas of drawing are paired with conceptual research in the development of practice and building connections across mediums. Practical and conceptual prompts expand research and process. Explore two-dimensional drawing for three-dimensional thinking and learn to translate ideas into fully-realized experiences. This is an introductory course, no experience necessary. Open to all levels. Non-SMFA students and MAT Art Education students will receive a letter grade.
