Real-Time Embedded Systems (EE-0152)
Fall 2025 · EE 0152 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Hardware and software considerations for fast, predictable response time in embedded systems. Real-time operating systems and multi-threaded programming for managing multiple time-sensitive tasks. Comparison of industrial-grade versus hobbyist-grade embedded-system infrastructures. Examples are drawn largely from medical equipment (e.g., electrocardiography and electromyography) Recommendation: some experience working with embedded processors (e.g., equivalent of EE14 or ME30, or experience with Arduino programming).
