Networked Embedded Systems (EE-0153)
Fall 2025 · EE 0153 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
A practical introduction to building and deploying robust embedded systems for the Internet of Things. Topics include: selecting a microcontroller, interfacing with sensors, wireless protocols for IoT, printed circuit board design, managing power consumption, software design patterns for low-power devices, and remote management of IoT devices. Semester-long team project to build a substantial embedded system and test it in the field. Recommendations: experience programming in C or C++, circuit analysis and design (e.g., EE 20, ME 30, BME 10).
