Introduction to Metals (MTL-0113)

Basic vocabulary of wearable art and sculptural expression in non-ferrous metals. Through a series of demos and projects, learn basic metalsmithing skills including sawing, filing, soldering, forming, and finishing, and use them to create three-dimensional art pieces. Through historic and contemporary examples, learn essential skills for creating works of art in non-ferrous metals.
