Clinical Epidemiology (PH-0294)

Fall 2025 · PH 0294 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate

This course is designed to offer an overview of clinical epidemiology concepts at the introductory level. Clinical decision making requires background knowledge in three important areas of epidemiology: risk estimation, diagnosis, and intervention. Recorded lectures and slide-based asynchronous work is supplemented by reading chapters in a textbook. During the in-person classes, ongoing participation and a group presentation are the basis of assessment. The course includes individual assessments as well as group work. Each week covers a chapter in the textbook. Students will bring examples from the published literature for discussion in class.
