Paper: Expanded Practice (PRT-0109)

Broad range of conceptual and technical approaches to working with paper as a malleable and interdisciplinary material. Work experimentally with hand papermaking processes, commercially available papers, and recycled materials to explore paper engineering, wearables, installation, and time-based/interactive work. Consider paper as a technology in the context of design, performance, and material studies. Develop a paper vocabulary through technical demonstrations, lectures, and exercises that build toward a self-directed final project.
