Studio class for artists of all disciplines to learn to create theatre/performance collaboratively and from scratch. Focus on developing student artists’ collaborative and artistic skills through creative prompts to transform found or collectively generated texts and other source material into time-based live performance. Draws on approaches to making from devising ensembles around the world today including The Builders Association, Elevator Repair Service, Gob Squad, Grass Stage, and Pig Iron Theatre Company. Prerequisites: Any TDPS, FMS, Music or SMFA class.
