Concepts of modern immunology and their importance in biology. Topics include humoral and cellular immune responses, antibody structure and biosynthesis, antigen-antibody interactions, cellular immunology, immunological tolerance, autoimmunity, and tumor immunology. Prerequisite: BIO 13 or BME 33; and sophomore standing. Recommendation: BIO 41.
