Regeneration in Biology: From Nature to Medicine (BIO-0122)

Exploration of diverse organisms and their ability to regenerate their bodies and tissues in response to damage. Topics range from regenerating animals in their ecological settings to biomedical endeavors in human regenerative medicine, including vision restoration and human-machine interfaces. Survey of diverse systems ranging from the molecular to whole-organism level. Fulfills the group B requirement for the Biology major. Prerequisites: BIO 13 and BIO 14, or instructor permission.
