Biothermodynamics (BME-0012)
Spring 2026 · BME 0012 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Fundamental concepts and principles of classical thermodynamics including the first law, the second law, enthalpy, entropy, free energy, equilibrium, and phase transitions. Applications of thermodynamics concepts to biologically important systems and processes such as chemical equilibrium, biomolecular binding, protein folding, oxygen transport, and enzyme kinetics.
