Introduction to Data Analytics (DATA-0100)

Introduction to the ways that data are used and analyzed across different disciplines within the arts, humanities, and sciences. Provides an understanding of the use and misuse of data; critical evaluation of and experience with different types of data analysis; emerging trends in the field. Data lab provides opportunities to learn and apply the programming language Python. Prerequisites: one of (MATH 21, MATH 165, MATH 166, EC 13, EC 14, PSY 31, BIO 132, CH 36 or PS 103) or instructor permission. Open to Arts & Sciences and Engineering Undergraduates.
