Musculoskeletal Practice Management: Lower Quarter (DPT-0730)

This course continues the examination, evaluation, and intervention sequence of the neuro-musculoskeletal system. This course builds upon the fundamentals of examination and intervention that will be utilized across the two-course series. This course emphasizes the clinical application of biomechanics, functional movement, and examination principles for neuromusculoskeletal disorders specific to the lower quarter of the body. The course concentrates on the application of critical thinking and psychomotor skills related to examination and evidence-based interventions which emphasize patient education, therapeutic exercise, and manual physical therapy in a patient-centered approach across the lifespan. This course continues the development of critical thinking and reasoning strategies through clinical presentations and management.
