Interdisciplinary study of textiles and fiber arts within a contemporary art context. Explores the use of textiles across disciplines including sculpture, painting, performance, and design. Develop projects with the aid of individual instruction, critique, readings, shared research, field trips, and visiting lecturers. Designed for students with a basic understanding of fiber-based techniques interested in developing their craft and research further. Prerequisite: Introduction to Fibers or equivalent. Non-SMFA students and MAT Art Education students will receive a letter grade
