Graphic Arts Toolbox (GRA-0114)

Core foundational design principles through graphic arts tools and processes in print and screen-based media. Uses analog and digital methods to explore conceptual approaches, visual communication aesthetics, and the deconstruction of conventions in design thinking and production. Techniques and mediums range from typography, print ephemera, and prepress, to creative coding, digital art and design, and the web. Learn to blend modes of art and tech, as well as to distribute work in multiple formats. Survey and analysis of works by artists and practitioners across mediums. Introductory course open to all levels.
