A history of the Boston area's architecture from the seventeenth through the twenty-first centuries, as seen through the region's urban history. Major buildings, architects, and urban planning schemes examined in terms of economic, political, social, and institutional histories. Course work includes field trips; class presentations; and design, research, and photography projects. (May be taken at 100 level.)
