Indigenous visual and verbal texts, film, and other media produced by Indigenous peoples. Engages the politics and practices of (self-)representation, transnational film and media production, marketing and distribution, and critical and post-colonial theories of literature, film, and media. Study of Fourth Cinema, Indigenous cultures and their futures, and questions of agency, sovereignty, and artistic expression.
