Occupational Therapy Practice In Psychosocial Dysfunction (OTS-0227)

Review of the theoretical backgrounds that have either historical or current significance in the practice of occupational therapy with individuals who are mentally ill. Students use a variety of learning activities to fully explore this area of practice, including lecture and lab. Practical application of theoretical concepts and clinical reasoning applied to a variety of treatment situations to guide clinical decisions from evaluation through discharge. Level I fieldwork. Recommendations: OTS 107 and 243 (taken concurrently or prior to OTS 106, 219, and 242).
