Pharmacology I (PA-0206)

This is the first of a two-course sequence in pharmacology. This course first introduces the student to the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Students will then examine the classification, mechanisms of action, and use of a broad spectrum of therapeutic agents. Focus is placed on dose response, side effects, adverse reactions, and the role of patient concordance in medication effectiveness.
