Health Policy in Action: Analysis and Decision-Making (PH-0284)

This course explores the complex interplay between policy formation, public health advocacy, and the analytical tools used to evaluate policy impacts in the U.S. healthcare and public health systems. Over 14 weeks, students will examine the public health policy landscape, gaining insights into key health policies, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and tobacco control measures, to understand how policy decisions shape health outcomes. With an emphasis on active learning, this course equips students with the knowledge and skills to understand and influence public health policy and advocacy in diverse contexts.
