Spring 2026 · PHIL 0044 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
Cultivating wisdom and leading a better life through the practice of philosophy. Philosophy, as conceived by Socrates and his followers, uses reflection, argument, and discussion, to guide how we think, feel, and act in everyday life—in relationships, work, meals, solitude, and the classroom. Combines traditional reading and writing assignments with philosophical practices to examine the views of Socrates, Aristotle, Epicurus, the Ancient Stoics, and the Ancient Skeptics.
