Advanced Installation Projects (SCP-0185)

Studio course focuses on the planning and development of an outside group exhibition or self-directed studio work. Designed for students engaged in the development of installation-based work. Critiques, discussions, demonstrations, field trips, and introduction to contemporary artists. Explores space, site, situation, immersive experience, viewer relations, and exhibition design. Examines various combinations of installation art, including video, sound, performance, virtual reality, social exchange, collaboration, and interactivity. Addresses execution and presentation phases of large-scale project development. Non-SMFA students and MAT Art Education students will receive a letter grade.
