Introduction to Latinx theatre, film, and performance as a potent creative and political force in the United States. Representative works by Latinx playwrights, performance artists, and filmmakers will be discussed in light of issues such as labor and immigration, gender and sexuality, generation gaps in Latinx culture, hybridized identities, interculturalism, and the United States' relationship with Latin American nations.
