Human Physiology (DPT-0703)

This course provides the foundational knowledge related to physiology and pathophysiology. Key principles of cellular physiology and major organ systems - neuromuscular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, integumentary, gastrointestinal, renal and endocrine will be reviewed. Physiologic principles necessary for functional movement and the associated effects of physical activity on health and wellness across the lifespan will be presented. This course will introduce the pathogenesis of common conditions encountered by the physical therapist.
