Senior Honors Thesis A (BIO-0199)

Intensive laboratory or field investigation, including independent design of experiments, a written thesis, and an oral defense. This is a yearlong course: students must complete both semesters to earn credit. A minimum of twenty hours per week of research involvement is required. Students should speak with their potential faculty research supervisor in advance of the course registration period and obtain verbal consent. Students may conduct research outside of the Tufts Biology Department but will need a supervising committee chair from the Tufts Biology Department. Pre-requisite: BIO 193 or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience must be documented by your faculty research supervisor and includes prior research experience of approximately 200 hours with the same research group and scientific communication in both written and oral forms.
