Principles Of Biomedical Engineering (BME-0250)
Fall 2026 · BME 0250 · Tufts University · 3 credits · Undergraduate
The role of biomedical engineering in the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders. For each disease model, biomedical engineering principles are used to examine the function of the organ, mechanisms of the disease, diagnostic tools, and treatment approaches. Covered biomedical engineering areas include biomaterials, implantable devices, bioimaging techniques, gene therapy, and biosensors. Recommendations: ES 121 or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
