Fall 2026 · CMPH 0373 · Tufts University · 0 credits · Undergraduate

This course is designed to help MD/MPH students explore the public health landscape in Maine and its overlaps and gaps with the healthcare landscape in Maine. The course is spread out over the 2nd and 3rd years of training. Each semester, students will participate in a series of approximately monthly sessions facilitated by the faculty instructor. Some sessions may include guest speakers. In between the monthly sessions there may be homework assignments to prepare for the next in-person session. This homework may involve reading articles, reviewing websites, watching recorded webinars, and/or posting to the course discussion post on Canvas. There will also be 1-2 graded assignments per year. Collectively, the in-person sessions, homework, graded assignments, and guest speakers are designed to expose students to intersections of public health and healthcare in Maine.
